Each
year the MEM Board of Directors awards the
Middle East Medievalists Lifetime Achievement Award to a scholar who has
served the field of medieval Middle Eastern Studies with
distinction. The honoree is invited to deliver a talk before the
Middle East Medievalists MEMbership at the annual business meeting which
is held in conjunction with the Middle East Studies Association annual
